How to be More Resilient.............
“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”
― Thomas Edison
Said the greatest.
And he is not the only one.
Resilience has been known to be one of the most common factors determining success. No matter the field or aspect.
People who have the desire to see greatness. People who have the desire to reach the peak of their potential.
People who have achieved the impossible.
Has done through resilience.
Greatness doesn’t come after your 5th try.
No!
Sometimes maybe Not even after your 100th try.
It comes after hours and hours of hard work. And moving forward after the 100th failure can only be possible if you are Resilient.
And yes this is also a skill, thus can be teachable.
History has witnessed greatness just after a period of insane resilience, so if you are somewhat aspiring to become great in any part of your life. Learn to be Resilient.
Resilient to anything and everything that comes on your way.
The goal is to get up, dust off, and move towards your goal, even after you fall 1000s of times.
So, now the question arises, that after all this hype, how anyone can become more resilient?
Legit question.
And I believe, I can help you with this.
Have a Purpose
Look, although being Resilient is a skill.
But you can’t develop this skill without the right environment.
And this is where your Purpose comes in.
It is tough to jump from one failure to another with the same enthusiasm.
No matter how much you try, you won’t pursue anything that is not meaningful to you.
History has proven the fact that only a person who has an actual sense of purpose, can go through hell for it.
The purpose is what makes us do stuff that we can’t even fathom.
We need that drive to build resilience.
And it becomes a lot easy to be resilient when you are going towards your purpose. The thing that you actually care about.
Have self-believe
Believe can do wonder.
It changes your perspective.
Take pride in your abilities and believe in yourself.
Do whatever it takes and keep the promises you make to yourself. That’s how you get that self-believe.
Recognize that anything done with faith and hard work is almost always achievable. And yours will be too.
So have faith.
Embrace Change
Change is the only constant.
You have to be okay with it.
I know, change is scary. Getting out of routine is scary. Walking toward the unknown is scary.
But there is no other way.
So, don’t resist change.
Change the way you approach the work, change the way you took the feedback, and change your habit.
Change so that you get a better you.
Those who change, are the ones who grow.
Stick to the purpose but embrace the change in your approach.
Be positive
You know how you view the world, is entirely and completely your own. But the world is not that way, no one else feels the world to be that way, but for you, it is because you view it that way.
So, change the perspective
Although, Positive doesn’t mean forced positivity.
It is about understanding the fact that there is always a 50% chance of anything happening. And if you have to worry, why not worry about it being positive.
And secondly, when you have absolutely ZERO control over a situation, and you know these are your setbacks.
Then rather than being miserable. Why not try and understand and this too shall pass.
It is temporary and eventually, you will win over these obstacles.
And think about the hundreds of lessons that you have learned during these lost battles.
Those are gems on their own.
So keep the Hope alive.
Stay on the path.
And as they said, “This is How legends are made”
That is so true!
